DUE TO THE HOUSE BILL 262. ALL UNPAID TAX BILLS WILL BE TURNED OVER TO THE COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE ON APRIL 15. ANY QUESTIONS OF TOTALS ON TAX BILLS AFTER APRIL 15th SHOULD CALL 606-473-7394. ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE HOUSE BILL SHOULD CALL THE OFFICE OF THE GREENUP COUNTY ATTORNEY
TAX BILL AMOUNTS WILL INCUR MORE FEES THAT ARE NOT SHOWN ON THE ORIGINAL BILL AFTER THE BILLS ARE TURNED OVER TO THE COUNTY CLERK.

Tax bills may be viewed online and are updated within 24-48 hours after payment is received. Anyone visiting the Greenup County Sheriff’s Department that request a bill be printed or copied will be charged a fee of .50 cents per copy.
Please be aware that anyone calling the Sheriff’s Department requesting tax amounts will be given the web address above. If you do not have web access you may have to wait an extended period of time due to a limited number of tax personnel. Patrons visiting the Sheriff’s Department in person will be given priority over phoned in request.
We now offer the ability to pay your property tax bill online. Click above to go to our payment portal and please have your Bill # and mailing address handy. Convenience fees will be applied to all online payments. Your tax bill does not include the fees it costs to process payments online. These payments go to the processor and are not fees that the Sheriffs office charges. We can not dispute or change the fee's and we apologize for any inconvenience.

If there is a problem with your account any and all refunds or request have to be made in person at the Greenup County Sheriff’s Office.
Refunds will not be handled over the phone. The tax collection clerks are extremely busy helping citizens at the counter through the tax season. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
